You pick a team of eleven players and one manager
from a fantasy budget of £100million,
based on the cash values we have given the players.
Players gain points throughout the competition
based on how they perform in matches. The scoring
system is quite straight forward it rewards the
things you would expect – like goals,
clean sheets and good performances, and it punishes
leaky defenses, bookings and red cards. But
your main job is to decide who you think will
perform best over the whole season. The players
come in five categories - Managers, Goalkeepers,
Defenders, Midfielders and Strikers. Depending
on your chosen formation you’ll have to
make a team containing one manager and a eleven
players to fill the formation positions.
There are loads of players to choose from so
study the lists of players by clicking on the
player tabs at the top of the DREAM11 main menu.
After clicking a playing position you can re-order
the players by name, team, points scored, etc
by clicking on the re-order tabs located at
the top of the sub-menu. For more information
on a specific player and their team click the
information button next to each player. DREAM11
allows you to see when and how each player scored
their points and many other stats such as goals
scored, cleans sheets and bookings.
Our easy-to-use account creation / login page
makes it a doddle just follow these main
rules:
1. Your team's value cannot exceed £100million.
2. Your team must comply with one of the listed
formations.
3. You can’t have the same player more
than once in your team (!)
The bigger clubs tend to have better players
but squad rotation systems cause a negative
effect on potential scores. This is particularly
the case with strikers who are often rested
for less important games (where in theory they
should find it easier to score). Even with a
budget of £100m it's still a real squeeze
getting a manager and eleven-man line-up that
hasn't broken the bank. The key is to find a
bargain-basement players who will rack up the
points. Clean sheets are crucial as defender
and midfielders get points for keeping out the
goals - likewise defenders who score goals are
worth their weight in gold. Players are deducted
a point each time they are booked, and a red
card earns a three-point penalty - so steer
clear of the bad boys!
The transfer options allow you to change your
squad - use transfers wisely to drop injured
or under performing players that are costing
your team points. Transfer take effect the day after you make them. |
